Hi, I’m Majid Ghasemi, a Master of Applied Computing student at Wilfrid Laurier University, where I am exploring the fascinating intersection of Reinforcement Learning (RL), Multi-agent Systems, Game Theory, Robotics, Generative AI, and Machine Learning. My passion lies in addressing practical challenges in AI by building solutions that merge innovative algorithms with real-world applications.
I’ve published research on diverse topics, including phishing detection using machine learning, efficient energy management for electric vehicles, and vehicle patrol optimization using RL. My work has been presented at international conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals. Currently, I am diving deeper into the complexities of RL under the guidance of Dr. Dariush Ebrahimi at the EdgeSystems Lab.
In addition to my academic endeavors, I have industry experience as a data analyst, where I developed and implemented machine learning models to uncover actionable insights. As a teaching assistant, I’ve also had the opportunity to share my knowledge, helping students master concepts in artificial intelligence and algorithm design. With a technical skill set that spans Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and advanced visualization tools, I am dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what AI can achieve. I am excited about collaborating on projects that challenge conventional approaches and demonstrate the transformative power of AI, especially to seek questions that nobody has ever thought of :)
